MAT Overview
MAT or Management Aptitude Test is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) for the admission to different MBA and PGDM courses offered by around 600 and more colleges across the nation. This national level examination is conducted 4 times a year in both online (Computer Based Test – CBT) and offline (Pen and Paper Based Test – PBT) mode. This year due to the pandemic, AIMA has decided that the students can even appear the Internet Based Test (IBT) exam at their home.

MAT Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree from a well-recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks as aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved category).
- Final year students can also apply.
- No age restriction.
- Work experience – not mandatory.
- Applicants can even apply numerous times.

MAT Registration
- Applicant must visit the official website and then create an account by providing email id and phone number.
- After obtaining the OTP, candidate must submit it as verification and then continue.
- After successful login, the candidate must provide all the necessary details like personal details, educational qualification, experience (if any), exam center and type of exam (IBT/PBT/CBT).
- For IBT mode candidate need to select the city only “Test City” as exam can be given from home.
- Then photograph and signature of relevant size must be uploaded.

MAT 2021 Exam Pattern
The entire question paper is divided into 5 sections.

Each correct answer in the paper is awarded with 1 mark and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks are deducted. So, a candidate can score a maximum of 200 marks.

MAT syllabus comprises of 5 sections – Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills and Indian and Global Environment. Each section is further divided into various topics. Detailed structure of the entire syllabus is given below;

MAT Result
MAT results dates for the December session will be notified at the official website. Once the results are published, applicants need to visit the official website and click on the link provided. On the login screen, the student needs to enter the registration number and roll number and submit it. Finally, download the scorecard from the website. Results can also be obtained through SMS mode. Results are even send to the students through post as well. The scorecard contains marks of the students secured in individual section. This score is valid for 1 year.
